Devil Mountain Run

The Danville Devil Mountain Run invites competitive runners, walking enthusiasts, families, and local businesses to strut their stuff for a good cause. Choose from two flat and fast courses, 5K or 10K, and enjoy the fresh air and scenic beauty of the Iron Horse Trail. The event will also host a Kid’s Fun Run with non-competitive 50 and 100-yard dashes for ages 3-8.

Spring Wine & Chocolate Stroll

Enjoy an evening of art and libations at Danville’s Art & Wine Stroll. Danville Chocolates will showcase their decadent creations while Livermore Valley wineries pour their best vintages—all against the backdrop of music and merriment. Doggie Night

Calling all dog owners and lovers alike... Danville’s Doggie Night offers fun for you and your four-legged friend. Follow the map to Doggie Night businesses for free dog treats and canine couture. Check out the variety of vendors through the pet fair where you’ll meet pet sitters, photographers, trainers, veterinarians, and more. It’s sure to be a howl. Doggie Night will begin at Molly's Pup-purr-ee at 425 Hartz Ave.

Memorial Day Ceremony

DUBLIN

Dublin Community Ride

Learn how to get around Dublin on bike at the first Dublin Community Ride! The City of Dublin is partnering with Valley Spokesmen Touring Club to offer a group ride. Starting from the Civic Center Parking lot, cyclists of all ages will be able to choose between a 3-mile loop and a 7-mile loop. At the end of the ride cyclists can: Receive a Bike Check-up courtesy of the ACTC BikeMobile Check out a Tire Change Demo Get tips on how to plan future bike rides Cyclists will be rewarded with a “surprise treat” when they complete their ride!

 

Pre-registration and helmets are required for this event: youth ages 11 & younger must be accompanied on the ride by an adult. Tricycles and bicycles with training wheels are not eligible to participate in the ride.

The San Ramon Art & Wind Festival is scheduled for Sunday and Monday. This family-friendly festival features professional kite flying demonstrations, arts & crafts booths, entertainment on 3 stages, puppet shows,two large kids’activity areas, food booths by local non-profits and more!


The festival also includes an early morning hot air balloon launch on May 27th at 6am. Bring the family for a spectacular close up view of 6 hot air balloons as they lift slowly into the sky (weather dependent).

The Gardens at Heather Farm is excited to host a free Mother’s Day event in celebration of all moms! This fun-filled event will be held on our beautiful grounds. Our six acres of gardens is the perfect place to enjoy a self-guided stroll that winds through 24 unique demonstration gardens in full bloom. Bring a picnic to enjoy in the shaded Meadow Garden overlooking more than 1000 organically grown roses. There will be craft activities for children to create a special gift for mom. The event will also feature an Artist’s Fair displaying nature inspired art and gift items for sale. All proceeds will directly benefit The Garden’s educational programs and gardens. Enjoy light refreshments and a garden gift just for mom – compliments of The Gardens! No RSVP required.

Animals on Broadway

Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation's 13th annual Animals on Broadway will be held at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek on Sunday, May 19, 2013. This spectacular free community event invites people and pets to join together and spend the day celebrating the joy of being each others' best friends. Kick off the event by joining the one-mile fundraising Pet Walk. After, stay and enjoy an array of booths showcasing pet products, mobile adoptions, face painting, a Pet Wellness Fair, Walnut Creek Police K9 Unit demonstrations, live music, and crafts for kids.
